1988 THE BEGINNING

In 1988, our founder Jerome Eberharter started White Cloud Coffee. Starting a business from scratch, with little capital takes imagination and just plain guts! Today, White Cloud Coffee is a multi million-dollar operation in a 20,000 square foot facility in Boise, Idaho. It supplies gourmet coffee to retail stores, cafes and restaurants across America.

2003 AN IDEA IS BORN!

Jerome is a BMW enthusiast. On a long ride somewhere in the wilds of Idaho, his very reliable machine broke down giving him time to reflect on the future of his business. At that point, he decided that he must find a way to market quality coffee directly to customers.  The "how to and what products" came later, but he seeds of his idea were born.

Selling coffee to retailers meant that Jerome spent a lot of time walking up and down food aisles in grocery stores. One time, while walking down the tea aisle, he noticed there are literally hundreds of teas designed to help you in just about every health situation. Jerome asked, "why not have a coffee with health benefits too?" It certainly was one of those "ah ha" moments! The "what products" question now became clear...develop Wellness Coffees!

2005 DIRECT TO CONSUMER

Over the next few years, Jerome became a student of the direct selling industry. He was intrigued with the concept of engaging independent business people who in turn marketed products to consumers. He was amazed of the power of this method, for the consumer, the business owner and for the manufacturer. It was decided that direct to consumer marketing was the way to go!

2006 A CALL TO ACTION

In early 2006, Jerome was introduced to Fred Weih, a direct selling expert with a passion for the food industry. Fred saw the same potential and excitement of Jerome's vision and LifeFoods was born!
